Hello friends, and welcome to today’s Scripture thought.

…and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 

Genesis 1:15 NKJV

This verse is a continuation of Genesis 1:14.

The phrase “for lights” is translated from the Hebrew word mā’ôr, and means light or luminary.

The word “so” is translated from the Hebrew word kēn, and can mean:

so, therefore, thus
