God (‘ĕlōhîm) spoke, and the earth brought forth grass, herbs, and fruit trees according to their kinds.
“Grass” is translated from the Hebrew word deše’, and can mean grass, green herb, or vegetation.
“Herb” is translated from the Hebrew word ʿēśeḇ, and can mean herb, herbage, green plants, or grass.
“After it’s kind” is translated from the Hebrew word mîn, and is translated as kind, or sometimes a species.
