The ungodly are not so,
Psalm 1:4 NKJV
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
In verse 3, we discovered that the godly are like a tree planted by water, and everything they do prospers. But the ungodly are not so.
Instead they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
The phrase “drives away” is translated from the Hebrew word nāḏap̄. It means to drive away, shaken, or tossed to and fro.
What a contrast!
May our lives be firmly rooted in righteousness as we seek God with our whole hearts. Seeking God gives our lives meaning and purpose, while an ungodly lifestyle will one day amount to nothing.
